[Nanaki will head that way. He hops onto one of the larger seats so he fits when he sits and he remains upright so he appears more professional and attentive. He waits for Gortash there.]

[ He has prepared himself for what he is likely to see but again he is expecting something more tabaxi and less "that is just a whole-ass large cat," so there is still a bit of a pause as he collects himself and finds his way to a seat. He supposes the ship will find its own ways to mix things up. ]

[He spoke calmly, voice deep, as he watched Gortash enter and make for a seat. He was pleased by the quick recovery and attempt to simply keep things normal. It was much better than the alternative that he often got.]

Repetitions of status quo and scheduled upheaval.

[ He's not one to allow himself to be easily ruffled. The Wardens he's been assigned have been a mixed bag of surprising traits, but he adapts quickly. ]

'Scheduled upheaval'. Is that how you view the temporary pairing rotation or the strange events that take place periodically on this vessel?

[It was not an inaccurate way to describe either of the occurrences. Nanaki was curious which Gortash meant specifically. Nanaki also wondered what Gortash thought of this place in general and his purpose here but that was a future question to breach.]

I would say 'both' but my temporary assignments have been largely the same. There is only so much one can do or that one is needed for unless there is a port, after all.

Do you feel as though they are not needed then? Or have they simply not met criteria that you are looking for so far?

There is only so much a temporary assignment can do. It's not my choice whether I am permanently assigned, but until I am, there is no progress to be made, is there?

I suppose. [But that thought troubled Nanaki.] Though I suspect that depends more upon the individual than the circumstances. If you're determined to see results, you have to reach for them yourself, don't you?

This place isn't built for that, clearly.

This place seems more haphazard than ingenious. That does not mean it has to be limited. Would you say then that you would give up simply due to the way it is built?
